Yesterday (local time), Arsène Wenger was chosen to light the Olympic flame in Strasbourg.
“There is no one more suitable to light the Olympic cauldron than the Gunners coach―Arsène Wenger brought the Olympic flame to his hometown of Strasbourg,” the Paris 2024 Olympic homepage shared.
In a previous post, the Paris 2024 Olympic home page also announced: “The person who lit the Olympic cauldron is Arsenal legend Arsène Wenger.”
The name Arsène is always associated with Arsenal.
