Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton is the latest star to join CBeebies Bedtime Story, as he swaps the racing cars for the small screen.
CBeebies Bedtime Story has seen a host of big stars take on the role in the hopes of getting the nation reading.
The seven-time F1 World Champion, 39, will try to inspire children to follow their dream as he reads ‘Small’s Big Dream’ by Manjeet Mann on Wednesday.
Lewis will tell the story of Small, a girl who thinks her dreams are too big for someone like her. But no matter how much she squashes them down, they spill out and carry her up high.
Talking about the book, which is illustrated by Amanda Quartey, Lewis said: ‘I felt it was really inspiring, it reminded me of my childhood and the big dreams that I had as a kid.

‘I know that there are many kids out there that have big dreams too. Perhaps there will be people telling them that their dream’s too big.
‘But I feel like this story really emphasises that no dream is too big or small and as long as you believe in yourself and continue to work hard, stay focused and give it absolutely everything, anything is possible.’
Having achieved his own big dreams, Lewis joined the McLaren Young Driver Programme aged just 13 in 1998. He was the first black driver to race in the Formula One series.
Lewis Hamilton’s CBeebies Bedtime Story is on Wednesday 3 July at 6.50pm on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.

One way the actor tried to teach children how to accept and manage diabetes was by cuddling a teddy bear with a continuous glucose monitor on it.
James said: ‘My diabetes animal is a big shaggy dog called Bruce. When I first got Bruce, he was a puppy.
‘He was difficult to control because he was always overexcited. Now, he’s a bit older and calmer.’
‘He still gets scared when someone’s at the door or he’s hungry. And then he barks very loudly. Or when he gets excited, he still runs around and knocks things over.
‘But generally he strolls along by my side. Bruce is my pal. I’m pleased to say that today Bruce is under control and very calm, which makes me feel very happy and relaxed.’
James’ CBeebies Bedtime Story will air on CBeebies at 6.50pm on Friday 14 June.
