Kanye West’s Attorney Moves To Ditch Him Amid Broken Down Relationship

Kanye West‘s legal troubles continue, with a lawyer bowing out from representing him.

The rapper, legally known as Ye, has been embroiled in a fight with an autograph dealer over an alleged assault. However, the attorney in charge of this case recently revealed that his relationship with the hip-hop star had crumbled.

Kanye West is no stranger to lawsuits and was sued by a former Yeezy employee for multiple crimes, including 𝑠e𝑥ual harassment.

Kanye ‘Ye’ West’s Lawyer Claims The Rapper Won’t Speak To Him

Earlier this week, Ye’s attorney, Brian Brumfield, filed a withdrawal motion from the assault and battery case with Judge Theresa Traber. He stressed that he could no longer participate in the trial because his client terminated their working relationship on June 21.

“Defendant also will not speak to counsel, and defendant refuses to pay counsel as well,” Brumfield claimed in court documents. Consequently, a hearing on his withdrawal petition has reportedly been scheduled for July 29.

Brumfield began representing Ye when an autograph dealer, Justin Poplawski, filed a lawsuit against him. He slammed the rapper with assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence charges.

Meanwhile, the plaintiff’s wife, Tiffany Marshall, claimed she suffered a loss of consortium. Per ABC7, Poplawski alleged Ye had mercilessly attacked him without provocation near the exclusive Soho Warehouse social club in Los Angeles.

Inside The Assault And Battery Allegations

According to the plaintiff, the assault happened in January 2022 when the “Carnival” singer spotted him on the sidewalk near the club and declared he would make an example of him. He allegedly referred to his divorce from Kardashian before striking Poplawski.

When the autograph dealer asked for an apology, the documents claimed Ye replied, “Apology for what?” before repeatedly hitting Poplawski. The alleged beating continued despite the rapper’s companions telling him to stop.

Poplawski alleged the beating left him with severe injuries and wanted due compensation for the crimes. The lawsuit was filed in January, five months before the Hip-hop star’s former employee sued him for 𝑠e𝑥ual harassment and more crimes.

The Yeezy Founder Refutes His Former Assistant’s Allegations

In June, The Blast reported that Ye had been sued by his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, over inappropriate behavior and more allegations. However, he vehemently refuted the crimes in a statement through his lawyers.

“She was terminated for being unqualified, demanding unreasonable sums of money (including a $4 million annual salary) and numerous documented incidents of her lascivious, unhinged conduct,” Ye’s legal reps claimed, noting they planned to counter-sue Pisciotta.

In her lawsuit, the former Yeezy employee accused the rapper of breach of contract, 𝑠e𝑥ual harassment, wrongful termination, and a hostile work environment. She alleged Ye failed to uphold his promises and abused his power as her boss.

Inside The Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

According to Pisciotta, she was promised a salary of $1,000,000 per year that required her to be available around the clock. Ye was also allegedly aware of her OnlyFans presence and initially had no objections to her online activities when she was scouted in July 2021.

The former employee claimed he would brag to fans about her success, calling her an “OnlyFans Superstar.” However, his tune changed in August 2022 when he asked Pisciotta to be “God-like” and delete her explicit account.

Ye allegedly agreed to pay her $1,000,000 if she complied but failed to fulfill his promise despite her deleting the OF account. Pisciotta’s situation worsened when her then-boss harassed her with explicit text messages and forced her to watch him masturbate.

Kanye West’s Former Assistant Claims He Bragged About A ‘Five-Person Orgy’

The allegations in Pisciotta’s lawsuit continued with The Blast sharing that Ye and his wife, Bianca Censori, allegedly bragged about having a “five-person orgy.” This incident occurred amid the rapper’s attempts to get his former employee in bed, per her claims.

Pisciotta alleged that Ye not only tormented her with details about his 𝑠e𝑥 life but also made her responsible for organizing transport for the women participating in these orgies. Her claims, per the documents, read:

“On one such occasion, in August 2022, after [Pisciotta] had arranged an Uber ride, Kanye West, a.k.a. Ye and Bianca Censori, called [her] wanting to discuss the orgy (five-some) they had participated in the day before.”
