Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, who was recently seen in the action film Yudhra, was taken by surprise during his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan.
In a recent interview, Siddhant recalled the interaction, and said that after the success of his breakout film Gully Boy, he was at a party at director Zoya Akhtar’s house when somebody grabbed his hand. When he turned around, they kissed his hand and praised him. “It was Shah Rukh Khan,” he recalled in a chat with Mashable India.
Siddhant shared, “I was at Zoya’s house and someone held my hand. I turned around and they kissed my hand, and said ‘You have done such great work.’ It was Shah Rukh Khan. And I was like… this was the first time I was seeing him in person.” Siddhant also recalled another incident, when he bumped into the star at a restaurant, after which Shah Rukh invited him and his friends to his house, Mannat. “I was just chilling at Soho house with a few friends. Shah Rukh sir was there and my friends said, ‘Please take us to him to say hello’. He asked, ‘What are you doing later?’ I said ‘nothing’ so he invited me to his home, Mannat.
I told him that I am with friends, so he invited them too,” he recalled, and quoted Shah Rukh as saying, “Voh launde hain toh hum bhi jawan hain.”
